Comparison of Preferences and Risk Levels of Shallot (Allium ascallonicum L.) Farming in the Highlands and Mediumlands

Shallots are one of the horticultural commodities which same as other commodities. This study aims to find out comparison level business risk and farmers' preferences for in highlands represented by Purworejo Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency medium plains Tawangargo Karangploso Regency. research was determined purposive sampling using simple random method 66 samples shallot farmers. Analysis data used is farming analysis, analysis production factors cobb-douglass, coefficient variation (CV) Likert scale. Based on results this indicate that significantly influence seeds, NPK fertilizers, ZA labor. While highlands, namely Regency, lower than Medium plains, In addition, sources tend be more daring face risks, while farmers lowlands neutral facing risks.
